Tim Dalaviras Ph.D.

I have over 25 years experience providing mental health and addiction treatment services in outpatient, private practice, and facility treatment settings. I completed my doctorate from St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO and I am independently licensed in Missouri. My focus is on creating action-oriented interventions to develop insight, skills, and resiliency to help individuals find their full potential.  My cognitive behavioral, solution-focused approach is aimed at developing skills that will address the emotional, physical, spiritual well-being and life transitions.

    My Story and Approach

I have had the privilege to work in the Mental Health and Addiction field for over 25 years.  I have developed and was CEO of inpatient, Residential and Outpatient services around the country that support the Mental Wellness of adults and adolescents.  Over that time, I have learned a great deal about people, mental health, addiction and the struggles individuals and families manage.  Mental health and addiction issues impact over 25% of the population at any given time, and individuals who suffer from mental health disorders die, on average, 25 years earlier than the general population. I want to help improve the health outcomes of those struggling with mental health concerns.

I want to help individuals develop a more rewarding life. We only have one life, and my approach is to help individuals find who they are and where they want to go.  The areas of focus that I believe help improve one's mental, physical and brain health include nutrition, self-exploration, resiliency, coping skills, and relaxation. Brain Health is very important to the Mental Wellness of an individual: the healthier the brain, the greater ability for the brain to produce the neuro-transmitters needed. Neurotransmitters help regulate many bodily functions, including but not limited to heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, muscle movements, memory, feelings, sleep, stress response, hormone regulation, digestion, and the five senses. Therefore, Brain Health and Mental Wellness are important for every aspect of one's life.
